A few pictures from our adventures today.
Spent some time machete-ing, staking tomato plants (yea!), watering, clearing brush/sticks, and doing animal control this morning. Off to the beach this afternooon for a nice break. We hiked part of the Torrey Pines State Reserve
http://www.torreypine.org/ The water was pretty cold: Gary, Maureen, and Roxanne (one of my new WWOOFer friends!) got in, but Mike (another WWOOFer friend and Roxanne's boyfriend) and I chose to stick our feed in instead. :) The water was reading at about 60-62 degrees.
I've had lots of fun the past few days talking to Roxanne and Mike about Canada (specifically Vancouver, their hometown) and about the differences between the countries. PS - It's true they do sell milk in a bag!
